Our Story
Our story begins in 1993 as a storefront church located at 2637 Main Street, Niagara Falls, NY with a handful of committed members with a heart for evangelism leading many to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Two Sunday’s a month the ministry would conduct evening evangelist services at the local soup kitchen serving coffee, donuts, and the spoken word of God. The ministry grew and the storefront could no longer hold the growing congregation. The board members of the First Christian Church contacted Pastor Stephan and heard of the growth of the ministry and made an offer to sell First Christian Church to Potter’s House and agreed to hold the mortgage interest free! On Palm Sunday, April 6, 1998, the members marched around the new church home and held the first service at the new location of 1002 Niagara Avenue the former First Christian Church.
In August 2001 our Co-Pastor Celestine Booze along with the Apostolic. Crusade Team (ACT), traveled to the regions of Togo and Ghana, West Africa to conduct revivals and crusades. During this Apostolic journey, Co-Pastor met many pastors we were without mentorship and church covering. Soon returning to the United States she and Pastor Stephan Booze spork of the need of African pastors, In October 2001 Pastor Stephan and Co-Pastor Celestine founded the World Missions Ministries International Fellowship of Churches (WMMI) with the mission of Reconcile the lost, spiritually deficient, and overlooked back to God the Father. Empower through education, impartation, and relationship. Activate and refine the gifts that are within the Body of Christ. Challenge believers to use gifts, talents, and abilities to impact Kingdom and environment. Help struggling churches fulfill their potential. (R.E.A.C.H.) Immediately 16 Liberian Pastors became a part of the Fellowship. On December 16 Pastor Stephan was consecrated Bishop.
In February 2006 the Potter’s House moved to an even larger location on 7th Street in Niagara Falls the former St. Paul United Methodist Church. To date, their many ministries operate at the Potter’s House CCC and many countries are a part of the World Mission Ministries Fellowship of Churches to include Belgium, Italy. African countries Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, and Angola. Additionally. The Potter’s House operates the World Mission Bible Institute a fully accredited Bible College.
Potter’s House is a ministry with a big heart for adding souls to the kingdom, and the place where God is shaping lives.
